$11K raised to help people with traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress and concussions

South Florida Sun Sentinel - 6/1/2019

May 31-- May 31--On May 15, the Help Our Wounded Foundation, a Delray Beach-based organization that works to help people with traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress and concussions, had its second annual Pinball Wizard event at the Silverball Museum in Delray Beach.

"The event raised over $11,000, which will be used to further the foundation's mission of improving the quality of life for people with brain injuries and post-traumatic stress," the foundation said in a statement.

Guests played vintage pinball machines while the JD Danner Band played. During one of the breaks, the foundation honored John Conde DC with the "Ricard Ohrstrom Community Service Award," Emiliano Brooks with the "Pay It Forward Service Award" and high school volunteer Anna Bulatao with the "Rising Star Award."

"It was the foundation's honor to acknowledge these three people," said HOW Foundation Executive Director Sarah Crane. "They give back every day and we want them to know how much we appreciate what they do to make the community a better place."

The event was supported by Weiss Capital Management, Conde Center For Chiropractic Neurology, Hyperbaric Services of the Palm Beaches, Scirocco Group and Spodak Dental Group.

"I love supporting the HOW Foundation because they really help those suffering with post-traumatic stress", said event chairwoman Kim Beckett.
