Veterans Tribute in Oakland Twp. vandalized, police seeking tips to find who did it

Detroit Free Press - 10/11/2021

Authorities are investigating weekend vandalism to the Coast Guard Monument at the Veterans Tribute of Oakland Township.

Oakland County sheriff's deputies responded to a call about malicious destruction of property that came in at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday. A man reported damage to the glass monument at 5236 Adams Road.

A glass panel, which cost an estimated $50,000, was shattered, deputies said. A large stone, which was presumably thrown at the panel, was found about 20 feet down the hill from the memorial.
